Newnham on Severn, Gloucestershire

We welcome any archer wishing to shoot at our peaceful range on the banks of the Severn.

Rules of Conduct

As a club we are all here for the enjoyment of Archery. Let’s work together to make this a wonderful place to spend time.

Care of Club Property

Take responsibility for yourself. Please tidy up your rubbish and wash any crockery and cutlery that you use; we do not have cleaners.

Club kit is for the benefit of everyone. Put it back when you have finished with it so that other can use it. Do not leave a bow on the shooting line if you no longer using it. If you notice that kit is damaged or unsafe, please tell an Archery Leader.

Do your Fair Share

The archery club doesn’t run itself.

Setting up and taking down the range is the responsibility of all Club Members. Please don’t leave it to the same person all of the time. If you are unable to lift or carry, there are plenty of other ways to Contribute to the club.

Safety First

Make sure that you are acting in a safe manner. If you see anyone else acting in a way that is not safe, alert an Archery Leader or Range Captain. If you see a hazard that will affect shooting shout STOP loudly and clearly. Ensure that you are heard by the Range Captain. We are each responsible for safety.

Personal Conduct

Although we behave in an informal and relaxed manner the following are never tolerated:

- Bullying
- Any form of discrimination. All members are bound by the Club’s Equality Policy and accept it as a condition of membership.
- Verbal or physical abuse
- Theft or deliberate destruction of property
- Or any behaviour designed to intimidate, belittle or upset a club member.

FAILURE TO ABIDE BY POINTS 1 OR 2 CAN RESULT IN MEMBERSHIP BEING WITHDRAWN OR REFUSED.
